A little unfinished business

I have been away far too long.   I am back... and it feels wonderful.

Based on the way I process donations, I had Angel items from many different donated dresses in various stages of completion when my attention was called away.  I am working on the usable organization of the studio while I finish some of them up.

April was a big shipment month!

So far this month, we were able to complete four shipments to new members of our team of hospitals and mortuaries: two shipments went out in the mail and two shipments were delivered in person.  I have two more shipments to mail and I am waiting to hear back from two more, all four new too!

I am thrilled about all of this for several reasons!!

Jeanine Browning and friends

A Jeanine Browning contacted me about dropping off some dresses.   I didn't know her but personally, but she indicated that she was a friend of a friend.

(I am already thinking how
I can use the design details in this donation
to its best advantage in AngelGowns)

However, our schedules did not work for the desired day so we decided we would reschedule.   And reschedule.    And reschedule.

(Love the color of this dress, the fabrics, and the beading at the neckline. )

If I remember correctly, we decided that we had been trying to get this done since MAY!!! **
Can you believe it?

(This donated dress will bring yards of satin for AngelGowns due to the layering.
Additionally, portions of the dress include lovely beading.
The veil is soft enough that it can be used too.)
But perseverance paid off and it happened.  We FINALLY got together to get these lovely dresses to the "AngelGown" processing center in north Phoenix.

(....  but look at the surprise on the back!
Amazing embellishments!!)
( A lovely dress, classic lines....)

These dresses are now beginning their journey to becoming something that an Angel will carry it with it for eternity

Thank you Jeanine for sticking with me and thank you to Jeannine's co-workers for furnishing some of the dresses

**Oh, I believe I owe Jeanine's boss a big thank you for allowing these dresses to be stored in the server room for months....  and months...  and months!!     thank you.
