Angel Day

Periodically, we sponsor a day of sewing, knitting, and crocheting for the Angels in Tucson.   Don't worry if you can't sew, knit or crochet.... the Angels can use you to get these Angel items ready for delivery to hospitals, funeral homes, birthing centers, etc.

If you are in the Tucson, Arizona area, just email with your name and phone number and you will be contacted when the next Angel Day is set.

You may wish to dust off your craftiness and create wearable items for the Angels.  Your favorite pattern may be used to create these items, however, we have included patterns, or links to patterns, for your use or for inspiration

Please be aware that items made from these patterns may not be sold for profit without express permission from the designer.

    AngelBlankets

Our AngelBlankets are provided to parents when their child is considered terminally ill or is given its wings (passed away).  The AngelBlanket may be used by the parents to swaddle their Angel and may be kept by the family as a keepsake.

We can accept your donation of handmade AngelBlankets that are crocheted or knitted.

Your favorite pattern may be used to create these blanket; however, we have included links* to patterns for your use or for inspiration.

Please be aware that provided patterns may not result in a blanket that fits stated criteria so adjustments to the pattern may be needed to achieve the appropriate size.  Often, using a larger needle than recommended in the pattern may soften the finished product and help in reaching ideal measurements.

Please know that the criteria set for the blankets has been suggested by hospital staff and funeral directors.

    Criteria:
    • Should finish anywhere from 24" to 48" square
    • Very soft and very pliant yarn is preferred
    • White, cream, or pastel colors are preferred
    • Additional colors are accepted
    • Preferred patterns are fairly flat, meaning no thick ribbing, etc. but all are accepted
    • Please avoid thick ruffles or thick edging around outside of blanket
Please email with questions or for shipping information.

The following patterns are offered for AngelGownsbyjacki use only and
may NOT be used for profit without express permission from designer.
