Why is there a need for gowns of this type?

Commercial clothing is not available in sizes suitable for the pre-term babies.   Generally, doll clothing is also not an option.  Below shows a normal newborn sized outfit for a baby.  The baby outfit covers a baby from their neck to their tiny toes.  On each size of the newborn's outfit are examples of one size of gowns that we make for the per-term Angelbabies.   The gowns cover an Angel from its neck down past the teeny tiny toes.

...It is estimated that 1 in 4 women experience a pregnancy loss in their lifetimes.

That's a lot of babies who may not have anything more than a scrap of fabric as their burial gown.

According to the March of Dimes,
more than 450,000 babies are born
pre-term (less than 37 gestation) each year
in the United States. 

That is about 1 in 8 babies.
 

A recent March of Dimes report found that worldwide,

For the two states near and dear to my heart:

    Arizona - One in nine babies are born pre-term.....  11.6%

    Iowa - Also one in nine....   11.5% 

 

The need for
