1st hand blessing

You just never know how you might find a dress!!!

I purchased an item second hand from Donna Dosh and was late picking it up.  I explained that my late arrival was because I had been picking up items for AngelGowns.

Guess what!  She asked about AngelGowns.  Of course, I was happy to reply with probably WAY more info than she really wanted.  But hey, I am passionate!!!  But she must have gotten the information she needed.

The next day, I received an message from Donna saying that she wanted to donate her dress to the Angels.   I was surprised...   and even more surprised when I opened her still-sealed box.

Beautiful lace, acres and acres of ruffles, and a scalloped hemline !  And we always love buttons for the AngelBoy vests.

Donna also donated her veil and slip.  As you know, donated slips are sold with all proceeds to Angelgownsbyjacki.  Depending on the type of veil, we can use the lace, pearls, and veiling on our Angelgowns.  If is not of usable materials, it is also sold with proceeds to AG. In Donna's case, we should be able to use all of her veil.

A second hand purchase turned into a first hand blessing !!!

thank you thank you Donna....   and please, may your trip be safe!!!

  1. Jacki, saw on KCCI tonight about your angelgown project; just love your labor of love in memory of your twin brothers who pased.

Donna what a gorgeous wedding gown you donated to Jacki; I loved also that you accept wedding veils.

I'm going to send you my simple wedding gown worn 40.5 yrs. ago and my veil; I know you can put it to good use.

I love your site here and will look over the rest of it; just had to comment after seeing such a beautiful gown with all the extra fancy things you can sew onto your special gowns.

God bless you Jacki for your generosity and special heart.
