A mother's story

This last weekend, I was chatting with a woman to whom I had disclosed I was an Ambassador for AngelGowns.  While we were in a retail shop, she shared a story with me.  I am sure I won't get it exactly correct but this how I remember her story.

When I was 45, we became pregnant.  We were so very ecstatic as hubby was given a 1 in 10,000 chance of it happening.   On Valentine's Day, one year after he had proposed to me, I lost the baby at 5 months gestation.  Of course, everything after that was a blur as we were both so devastated.

I knew that our tiny Justin was wearing a little gown and bonnet.

My mother told me later that the bonnet and the gown didn't match...  I hadn't noticed.  Mother told me later that the gown and bonnet had been given by the hospital....  I didn't notice.
Mother told me later that Justin was wearing the bonnet as his tiny head was...  not perfect.   Thank God I didn't notice.
*Please know that the mother gave her permission to add their story to my blog.

I am personally proud to hear this story and know that the family's pain was just slightly less because of the gown and bonnet donated to the hospital for their precious Angel, Justin.
