People continue to amaze me... sometimes in bad ways but mostly in good ways. Today, it was in an especially good way.
Several months ago, Phyllis I. dropped off a couple dresses for the Angels at my home in West Des Moines, Iowa. At the time of Phyllis's visit, I was 'downsizing' for our move to Arizona. During our chat, we touched on things I was collecting for the Angels and she mentioned that her elderly aunt did a lot of yarn work.
I had recently uncovered a good quantity of single ply yarn that I did not want to move with us and a light bulb went on above my head. I asked Phyllis if her aunt could use the yarn. Phyllis thought her aunt would be thrilled with the yarn and possibly to even help with AngelBlankets. We discussed the guidelines for AngelBlankets and I handed her over the yarn and my name and phone number.
Even if I never heard from Phyllis or her aunt again, I was happy that the yarn went to a good home.
Time went on and life moved forward. I returned to Iowa for business and, while in town, I had listed a post requesting wedding dresses for AngelGowns. I had hoped that if some dresses could be collected, I could prepare them for transformations while in Iowa.
Phyllis happened to see the posting and contacted me immediately, reminding me about the yarn and her aunt. Phyllis further explained that she had misplaced my name and number but that her aunt, a very active octogenarian, had some blankets ready for the Angels.
Phyllis stopped today with 19 gorgeous blankets crocheted by her aunt, Norine M of Stuart, Iowa.
Gorgeous and amazing and beautiful AngelBlankets!!!!
THANK YOU, Norine !!
