What IS a dress???

Let's face it....  dresses are dresses....  They are of cloth and thread... they may include a few beads or sequins...   a zipper..... a little lace....   Sometimes, we think they are special but they are just fabric and thread..... no big deal...  just like every other article of clothing on earth.     

Think about it:  Is the fabric magical?   Do the threads create puffs of happiness all around the person that is thinking about it?  There are no unicorns or rainbows in the dress.  One does not gain magical powers when wearing the dress. 

The "special" in a dress is what the dress can DO. 

Donating a dress doesn't mean you lose any memories associated with the dress....  it doesn't mean the memories are gone. 

After all, when was the last time you wore the dress?  When was the last time you even looked at the dress?  When you think about the event, you don't need to see, or touch, or wear the dress.  The memories are in your heart.  It doesn't make any difference where the dress is.... you will always have your memories.


Donating fabric and thread (a dress) that you never look at and never wear just means that you have removed one more unseen, unworn, and probably no longer fitting, garment from your closet.

HOWEVER, donating a dress to AngelGowns by jacki means that an Angel will wear your dress for eternity.  Could ANYTHING make a dress more special than to be worn by an Angel?

Grieving families of Angel babies are not given the opportunity to make memories with their baby... 
and a donated dress can give them a tiny memory to carry with them....  a vision of their Angel baby in an AngelGown.
